"Knowledge is better than riches"

What does that African Proverb mean to you? How can it be used in your  everyday life? Give an example.

 I think "Knowledge is better than riches" mean to me that some time people may not learn as much in life . For instance sometimes people may not have the desire to at least try to learn something new or try to do well and  get a good education in life . The problem is when it sometimes come to education and knowledge people may think it's joke. I think this mean that riches only think of buying new things and only focus on that. That's what I think of "Knowledge is better than riches".
